COVID-19 Policies

The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads by droplets in the air or by touching contaminated surfaces. The risk of person-to-person transmission increases the closer you are to others, the more time you spend near them, and the more people you come in close contact with. The risk of surface transmission increases when many people contact the same surface and when those contacts happen over short periods of time.

Mountain Sport Clinic takes the health of its staff and patients very seriously. The following is implemented at all times in the clinic:

All patients will be screened using the BC COVID-19 Self Assessment Tool at the start of every appointment. If you do not pass the screening, your appointment will be re-scheduled at no charge for 10 days after the symptoms first appeared. Please do not come to an appointment if you are ill. All staff complete the screening at the start of each shift.

A face mask is required for all in person treatments for both staff and patient. Staff have been trained on the proper use of masks.

At the start of each appointment, hands are washed with an alcohol based run or soap and water.

A distance of 2 metres will be maintained between individuals whenever possible.

Patients are to attend appointments alone (unless they are a youth and their parent/guardian is present or the patient is in need of an assistant).

Appointment times are spaced out to reduce crossover and allow for cleaning time.

High contact surfaces are disinfected before and after each patient. High contact surfaces have been identified as: door handles, light switches, treatment tables, pillows, and instruments, sink taps, toilet lever, chairs, hooks, phones, and computers.
